Ready for #2?!?

1. I am a brolga.
2. I read Metta.magazine.
3. I have a beard.
Have you contributed to Issue #2: Confusion yet?
There are only three weeks to the deadline for Metta #2: Confusion. We're gearing up for #2 and are excited by what's coming.

This issue will include music! We're excited to be able to offer an expanded "reading" experience and look forward to sharing it with you.

The feedback from the first edition has been wonderful. Hundreds of people downloaded the magazine. Very few donated to the collective that came together to make Issue #1: Beginnings - so a HUGE thank you to those who did - but the emails, phone calls and conversations we've had with people have ranged from encouraging to wonderful to just incredibly moving: the kind of feedback that has made me both humbled and proud to be creating this kind of magazine. It seems that there are a number of people who really understand what we're doing and are longing for more ways and spaces to connect with others in a compassionate way, as readers and as creators.

Receiving the first submission to the second edition - a moving story written with grace and love by Anna Curnock - was enough to show that we're on a track worth following. But our heartfelt thanks go to all those who took the time to share with us their experience of reading Issue #1.

So far the first edition has received $55 in support. It's a beginning, but it means that each creator will receive less than one cup of coffee for their efforts. I reckon that's something worth thinking about.

Metta.magazine #2 is just taking shape - it's still in that creative, soupy phase of flux and confusion, and is open to your creative input! Get involved!

Narrative non-fiction, fiction, photography, video, art, music! It is all possible and we're looking forward to hearing it, seeing it, feeling it and sharing it.

To submit, go to the submissions page and send it in!

Yours,
Tim Nolan
